Deuses escandinavos como Odin, Balder, Thor e Loki aparecem na Edda de Snorri Sturluson e na história dos dinamarqueses de Saxo Grammaticus. Este volume explora tais obras escritas juntamente com evidências arqueológicas de períodos anteriores por meio de novas abordagens que desafiam pontos de vista arraigados.
