Os intrincados motivos encontrados tanto na cerâmica Bell Beaker quanto nas estelas antropomórficas têm sido frequentemente comparados a padrões têxteis, mas poucas ou nenhuma publicação realmente comprovou essa afirmação.
Vários aspetos deste tópico também permaneceram inexplorados, como os métodos de tecelagem ou de trabalho com fibras usados para produzir esses padrões geométricos repetidos e se essas técnicas já estavam estabelecidas no Terceiro Milênio A.C.
